Miami
Down in Miami again. I'm staying in the South Beach area, famous for it's Art Deco style. I have to agree that it looks quite cool. It is said that a lot of it has been retro fitted in order to make everywhere look in keeping, but as Art Deco is for aesthetical and not structural reasons, I can't see a problem with that. One very noticable thing about Miami is the number of people taking their dogs for walks while strutting their stuff.
I am staying in a Hostel, which is really refreshing. Everyone is crammed in 4 to a room that is about the size of the average microwave, but it is really good to meet lots of travelling people. I spent last night with about 9 people, only two of which came from the same country. Sweden, they were twins. Strangely I didn't pick up on the fact they were identical twins until quite late in the evening. Still can't quite get over that.
Tried to go kite-surfing today, but the wind was a bit soft and direct on-shore. It seems to be like that most of the time. The forecast is better for tomorrow however.

yeah, Miami's great.
if you get tired of hostels, you might want to checkout the San Juan Hotel. very reasonable rates.
