Groundschool
I have been slack updating this diary in the last few weeks. I have had a lot of work/revision in the run up to exams. I hope that sounds better than the truth which is that I couldn't be arsed.
My exams for the second module out of three were last week. 3 exams. Aircraft General Knowledge (airframes, engines and electrics) was the first and went really well. Instruments came next and wasn't such a friendly paper and finally Air Law which was the most unpleasant of them all. I do feel however that I have done enough to pass although tempting fate in such a big way does make me feel uneasy.
A couple of weeks before the exams our class went to an aircraft maintainance hanger and were able to see all the systems that we had been studying for real. An awesome afternoon that was really interesting and made a lot of the things we were studying more tangible.
I have have now started my last module, which means as long as I can pass the rest, I will be finished in September. The subjects this time around are: Principles of Flight, Meteorology, General Navigation, VFR and IFR Comms.
